Alan Ritchson, star of Prime Video's hit series 'Reacher,' is set to co-star alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming Christmas heist movie 'The Man With the Bag.' The film, which is slated for release on December 2, features Schwarzenegger as Santa Claus on a mission to recover his stolen magic bag.
According to the teaser trailer released by Prime Video, Santa's bag was taken by a disgruntled elf, prompting him to recruit Vance, a thief Ritchson will portray, from his naughty list. Vance then assembles a crew of criminal misfits to aid in the retrieval, with additional assistance expected from the reindeer.
This marks Schwarzenegger's return to Christmas comedies, his last being 'Jingle All the Way' in 1996. Ritchson has experience in action comedy, having appeared in 'Playdate' with Kevin James. 'The Man With the Bag' is directed by Adam Shankman and written by Allan Rice. The film is rated PG, positioning it as a family-friendly heist adventure, a contrast to Ritchson's role in 'Reacher,' which has been described as unsuitable for family viewing.
