Blue Eye Samurai, created by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, is a historical action drama set in 17th-century Japan. The series follows Mizu, a mixed-race swordmaster seeking revenge against the four white men responsible for her birth. The first season, which debuted in November 2023 and won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program, concluded with Mizu traveling to London. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in January 2027. A third and final season is planned for 2028, which will conclude Mizu's narrative arc.
