Christopher Nolan's epic film adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey will arrive on digital platforms, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 17. The announcement from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment follows the film's significant box office success, grossing $1.78 billion globally.
The home video release is scheduled to precede the film's eventual debut on streaming services, with a 2027 launch on Peacock anticipated.
Universal has stated that the home release will feature over 90 minutes of special features, all of which were personally supervised by Nolan. "On Location" takes viewers to the diverse global settings used in the film, while "The Fall of Troy" showcases the creation of the expansive Moroccan set. "Ithaca" details the blend of a 15th-century Italian castle and soundstage interiors used to depict Odysseus's home, and "Battle Ready" highlights the intense action sequences developed with Matt Damon and Tom Holland. Further features include "Apparent Magic," on the film's visual effects, "The Sea People," covering the challenging open-sea sequences, and "The Score," where composer Ludwig Göransson discusses the creation of the film's soundtrack. "Bringing It Home" offers a look into the post-production process, and "The Journey of Film on The Odyssey" features content creator Reece Feldman interviewing Nolan about the film's lifecycle after production.
