DC Studios' horror film Clayface, described as a "fun, gritty and gruesome throwback," has officially released in cinemas. In conjunction with its theatrical debut, select retailers have begun accepting preorders for the film's Blu-ray, 4K, and limited edition 4K Steelbook versions.
While a specific release date for the physical media editions has not yet been announced, nor have any details regarding bonus features, interested buyers can secure their preferred format now. The 4K Steelbook features a distinctive design with a bright red cover depicting one half of a melting face on the front and the other half in a normal state on the back. An image of the steelbook's exterior and interior art is available for viewing.
Customers can preorder the Clayface 4K Steelbook for $39.98 at Amazon, $37.96 at Walmart, and $37.95 at Gruv. The standard 4K edition is available for $32.98 at Amazon, $27.96 at Walmart, and $27.95 at Gruv. The Blu-ray version can be preordered for $27.98 at Amazon, $22.96 at Walmart, and $22.95 at Gruv.
Reviewers have noted Clayface as an enjoyable body horror experience. One assessment highlighted its effective use of a slow-burn setup culminating in a compelling final act, suggesting that knowledge of Batman lore is not required for enjoyment. As the holiday season approaches, potential buyers may also anticipate upcoming Black Friday sales, which typically begin in early November and often feature significant discounts on 4K and Blu-ray releases, providing opportunities to expand physical media collections.
