Marvel Announces Zodiac Spy Series for 2028 Release

Marvel Studios has officially announced a new television series titled Zodiac, slated for release in 2028. The announcement was made at New York Comic Con, following earlier reports that mentioned the project.

Zodiac is described as a spy thriller that will likely focus on Marvel's clandestine government organization, SHIELD. Casting for the series is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with filming scheduled to commence next year. Like other Marvel series, Zodiac will premiere on Disney+.

While specific plot details remain scarce, the series is expected to be set within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe narrative. Its 2028 release date suggests it could take place after the events of Avengers: Secret Wars. Samuel L. Jackson, who will reprise his role as Nick Fury in the upcoming Avengers films, has been confirmed to star in Secret Wars. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has indicated that the Avengers movies are intended to set the stage for a significant evolution of the MCU, though he has denied suggestions of a complete reboot.
