In an effort to attract new viewers to the series ahead of its upcoming third season, Disney will temporarily make Percy Jackson and the Olympians available on Netflix. The first two seasons, which adapt Rick Riordan's The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters, will be accessible to all Netflix subscribers starting October 4. This promotional window is scheduled to last for three months, leading up to the season 3 premiere on November 20.
This move marks a departure from the series' previous exclusive availability on Disney+ since its debut in 2023. The partnership is part of a broader content licensing agreement that will bring several other titles from the Disney catalog to Netflix. These include all the Ice Age movies, in anticipation of Ice Age: Boiling Point arriving in February 2027, as well as shows like Will Trent and Fresh Off the Boat, and films such as Soul and Elio.
Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will tackle the third book in Riordan's series, The Titan's Curse. This installment represents new territory for the show, as the first two books had previously been adapted by 20th Century Fox. The plot will follow Percy on a quest to locate Annabeth and the missing goddess Artemis, and it will also introduce the significant characters Nico and Bianca di Angelo. Returning cast members include Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover. New additions to the cast feature Levi Chrisopulos as Nico di Angelo, Olive Abercrombie as Bianca, Dafne Keen as Artemis, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen as Hera, Jennifer Beals as Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo. Disney has not yet officially confirmed a fourth season for the series.
