The second and final season of Paramount+'s Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is set to premiere in March 2027. The announcement was made at New York Comic Con during a panel celebrating Star Trek's 60th anniversary.
While a trailer for the upcoming season has not yet been released, attendees were shown a clip featuring a new character. Executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, along with cast members, teased elements of the new season. It was revealed that Nahla's parents will be featured in an upcoming episode, with Bill Nighy playing her father and Rosmarie DeWitt as her mother. Holly Hunter, who plays Nahla, will also portray her twin sister in the same episode.
Variety previously reported that this upcoming season will be the last for Starfleet Academy. The cast members present expressed enthusiasm for a second season, seeing it as an opportunity to further develop and explore their characters.
The second season is expected to consist of ten episodes and will stream on Paramount+. The panel also touched upon other upcoming projects, including Blumhouse's horror film lineup and a new Magic: The Gathering set featuring Marvel Comics characters.
