The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Book Arrives November 3

Fans can delve into the making of The Mandalorian and Grogu with the upcoming release of The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. The book, published by Abrams Books, is set to arrive on November 3.

This hardcover volume promises an in-depth look at the concept art, sketches, and interviews with the cast and crew behind the latest Star Wars theatrical release. It aims to provide an exclusive view of the art created for the film, detailing the stories behind its characters, locations, and vehicles. This marks another collaboration between Abrams Books and Lucasfilm, following similar art books for series like Andor and The Acolyte.

Phil Szostak, Lucasfilm's creative art manager, authored the new book. Szostak has a history of creating such companion pieces, having previously worked on art books for The Art of Star Wars: Andor, The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian (covering its first two seasons), and The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. He was also involved with the unreleased LucasArts game Star Wars: 1313.

The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu will be a 256-page full-color book, priced at $50. It is currently available for pre-order.

The Mandalorian's journey, alongside Grogu, has spanned three seasons on Disney Plus from 2019 to 2023. The recent feature film, The Mandalorian and Grogu, directed by series creator Jon Favreau and co-written by Favreau and Dave Filoni, was released in theaters in May. While the film received a generally positive critical reception, its box office performance did not meet expectations.
