Prime Video has announced that the next season of The Grand Tour will premiere on September 4. The series is resuming with a new lineup of hosts, as confirmed by social media posts from the show bearing the slogan, “Same show. New knobs.”
The upcoming season will consist of six episodes and will take viewers to diverse locations including the Angolan desert, Malaysia, and California. The new hosting team comprises Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, known for their work on the motoring YouTube channel Throttle House, and social media personality Francis Bourgeois. Holland, a motoring journalist, founded Throttle House in 2015, with Engelsman joining a few years later. Bourgeois, whose real name is Luke Nicolson, is a qualified mechanical engineer who previously worked at Rolls-Royce before building a successful social media presence centered on his interest in trains.
Former host Jeremy Clarkson appeared in a brief skit on The Grand Tour’s social channels in February to introduce the new presenters. The Grand Tour has been Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted UK series. It has been off the air since September 2024, following the conclusion of the final season featuring original hosts Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, who ended over two decades of collaboration with a large road trip through Zimbabwe and Botswana.
