007 First Light DLC Adds New Missions, Weapons, and Photo Mode

IO Interactive has released the Extended Operations DLC for its game 007 First Light, adding several new free updates and features.

The new content includes the Valhalla Protocol, a time-trial challenge that allows players to use the Aston Martin Valhalla with its machine-gun turrets. Additionally, Jungle Heist introduces a new mission where Agent Bond must infiltrate a location, find a safe code, crack the safe, and escape from a rooftop.

Two new weapons are now available for players to use: the Squire Marksman Rifle and the Storm 12-Gauge Shotgun. The update also brings three new outfits for Bond, including a black suit with a bow tie. A Photo Mode has been implemented, offering unique filters and poses for players to capture their in-game moments.

Further additions include two new gameplay modes: New Game Plus, which allows players to carry over certain upgrades into a subsequent playthrough, and a challenging 00 difficulty setting. Players can also now pet a dog in the game.

007 First Light launched on May 27 to positive reception, earning praise for its dialogue, stealth gameplay, and tutorial sequence. The game currently holds a 90% positive rating on Steam and has sold over 4 million copies. Despite its success, the future of the game's franchise remains uncertain due to Amazon's acquisition of the Bond rights in 2025, though recent statements suggest IO Interactive would likely develop any potential sequel.
