IO Interactive has released the first major post-launch update for 007 First Light, Patch 1.1.0. This significant update addresses over 200 issues reported by the community and internal testers, focusing on refining the player experience.

The patch includes a variety of fixes aimed at resolving technical problems, such as crash fixes, clipping issues, and achievement unlock bugs. "From crash fixes and clipping issues to infamous achievement unlock bugs, this update demonstrates our team's commitment to refining the 007 First Light experience," IO Interactive stated in a blog post.

Beyond the technical improvements, Update 1.1.0 also introduces new content for players. Two new TacSim missions, 'The Workshop' and 'Extraction Avenues,' have been added. These are three-tier Escalations offering new challenges. In addition to the missions, players can unlock new TacSim rewards, including the DRS-7 Silenced SMG and the 'Diamond in the Rough' outfit, attainable through earned Intel currency at specific clearance levels.

Patch sizes vary across platforms: 23.84GB on PlayStation 5, 3.6GB on Steam, 1.39GB on Xbox Series, 2.24GB on Microsoft PC, and 3.99GB on the Epic Games Store. IO Interactive confirmed that work on further improvements and content updates is ongoing.

Key Fixes and Additions

The update resolves a wide array of gameplay issues. Stability improvements include fixes for crashes on Xbox Series S related to menu navigation and boss fights, as well as crashes occurring in TacSim after specific enemy eliminations or during advanced training. For PlayStation users, an issue preventing Aim Down Sights (ADS) from functioning after interacting with system menus has been addressed.

Achievements and challenges have also seen considerable attention. Numerous fixes ensure that achievements like "A Legacy of Spycraft," "For Your Eyes Only," and "Keep Moving Forward" now unlock correctly. Specific challenge completions, such as those in "Uninvited" and "Knightfall" missions, have also been rectified.

Gameplay fixes include an issue where Bond would animate climbing in place, problems with navigating certain areas that could lead to falling out of the world, and a long gadget input buffer that caused accidental usage. Xbox controller reconnection issues have also been resolved.

TacSim functionality has been improved with fixes for unresponsive mission consoles, gadget carts, and the Intel shop. An issue that could block players from selecting main story chapters when accessing Tactical Simulation offline has been corrected.

UI and HUD elements have been refined, with fixes for objective timers, incorrect display of Intel costs for Escalation tiles, and persistent "no ammo" text indicators. Localization errors, including incorrect display of Japanese variables and mistranslations in Spanish for terms like "Bellhop" and "Motherboard," have also been addressed.

Numerous mission-specific fixes target gameplay glitches and progression blockers across various levels, including "In His Majesty's Secret Service," "All the Time in the World," "Beyond the Grave," "Uninvited," "Case Closed," "Knightfall," "Time to Die," "Against the Odds," "Man of the Hour," "Wave of the Future," and "For England." These fixes range from environmental clipping and NPC behavior issues to progression blockers and visual artifacts.
