IO Interactive has released the first significant content update for 007 First Light, its James Bond origin story game. The update introduces two new TacSim missions and three new weapons, alongside a host of bug fixes and stability improvements.

The new TacSim missions include "The Workshop," a stealth-focused operation set in Q's laboratory where players must use gadgets and combat to escape. Contrasting this is "Extraction Avenue," an action-oriented mission requiring players to fight their way through enemy reinforcements.

Three new firearms are now available for unlock, each requiring players to accumulate 3,000 intel points. These include the Stormberg 50'cal pistol at Clearance Level 10, the DRX-2 Machine Pistol at Clearance Level 12, and the DRS-7 Silenced SMG at Clearance Level 16. Additionally, Bond's relaxed "Diamond in the Rough" outfit can be unlocked for 3,000 intel at Clearance Level 18.

This patch comes in at under 4 GB on most platforms, though it reaches 23.84 GB on PlayStation. IO Interactive stated that the update reflects their dedication to enhancing the 007 First Light experience. The fixes address a range of issues, from game crashes on Xbox Series S to animation glitches and translation errors.

007 First Light was released to critical acclaim and has been considered a potential game of the year contender. The game is currently available on PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for later this year.
