Activision has escalated its efforts against Call of Duty cheaters by directly confronting a notorious cheat maker at their residence and recording the interaction. The publisher shared a video depicting a legal representative serving Elocarry, a seller of game cheats, with a cease-and-desist order at their home in Ohio.

The one-minute video, posted on the official Call of Duty X account, shows the representative delivering the legal documents to Elocarry, who accepts them. This public display aims to underscore Activision's commitment to combating cheating and demonstrates a willingness to pursue cheat creators directly.

Following the confrontation, Elocarry's Discord server indicated a pause in cheat availability for Call of Duty while the creator reviewed the situation internally. Activision also provided statistics from the recent Modern Warfare 4 early access beta, reporting lower infection rates, more effective hardware bans, and faster detection of cheaters. The publisher noted that during the beta weekend, new detections were deployed to improve anti-cheating measures.

Activision stated that it has disrupted over 375 cheat reseller operations, issued more than 80 cease-and-desist demands, and shut down over 30 vendors. The company indicated a readiness to pursue litigation against cheat developers and sellers to uphold fair play.

Elocarry's website currently lists no cheats for Call of Duty titles, including the base games and Warzone. However, the site continues to offer cheats such as aimbots and ESP for other popular games like Rust, Apex Legends, and Marvel Rivals, marketing them as undetectable. Similar cheats were previously offered for Call of Duty.

This action is part of Activision's long-standing campaign against Call of Duty cheaters, which has involved lawsuits and in-game measures. With the upcoming release of Modern Warfare 4, Activision is keen to assure players of a fair and enjoyable experience. The company plans to continue these efforts during the second week of the Modern Warfare 4 beta and will share further updates before the game's October launch.
