Star Wars fans have a galaxy of new video game adventures awaiting them. Multiple titles are in various stages of development, spanning different genres and promising original stories set within the beloved universe. Here's a look at every known Star Wars game in development and what we know about their potential release windows.

Star Wars Zero Company

Scheduled for release on August 27, 2026, Star Wars Zero Company will bring XCOM-like turn-based tactical gameplay to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment, the game is set during the Clone Wars and centers on an original story where players lead a customizable squad known as Zero Company on a mission for the Republic. Reports describe the experience as akin to "Mass Effect but with turn-based tactics and permadeath," emphasizing squad management, base exploration, and the consequence of permadeath for squadmates.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer

Set to launch on October 6, 2026, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is an arcade racing game developed by Fuse Games for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. The game features a single-player campaign set in the New Republic era where players join an underground racing league in the Outer Rim. Influences for the story reportedly include post-World War II history and sports movies. Galactic Racer will also offer an Arcade mode for those who wish to jump straight into the action and high-stakes multiplayer races. Players can customize their repulsorcraft to suit different playstyles and aesthetics. The game will be available in standard, deluxe, and collector’s editions.

Star Wars: Eclipse

Developed by Quantic Dream, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, Star Wars: Eclipse was announced in 2021. The game is set during the High Republic era, centuries before the mainline films, and is expected to feature a branching, choice-based narrative with multiple playable characters. However, the project has faced significant development challenges, including a #BlackoutStarWarsEclipse boycott due to past allegations against the studio, reports of hiring difficulties, the departure of its lead writer, and an internal reorganization at Quantic Dream that led to potential layoffs. While the studio has confirmed development is ongoing, sources suggest the game is still years away from completion, with its release window currently unannounced and platforms yet to be confirmed.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic

Announced at The Game Awards in December 2025, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is described as a spiritual successor to the beloved Knights of the Old Republic series. Led by Mass Effect director Casey Hudson, the game aims to deliver a "contemporary vision of a definitive Star Wars experience" with advanced technology and an all-new story focusing on player agency and immersion. While some speculate a release date around 2030, possibly on next-generation hardware, Hudson has indicated it will arrive sooner. Platforms and a specific release window are yet to be announced.

Star Wars Jedi 3

A third installment in the critically acclaimed Star Wars Jedi series is officially in development. Following the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, this final chapter in Cal Kestis's story was confirmed in 2024. Despite the departure of series director Stig Asmussen, EA has indicated the game will conclude Kestis's narrative arc. Platforms and a release window are currently unannounced. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic — Remake

The highly anticipated remake of the original Knights of the Old Republic is still in development, though its path has been complex. Initially handled by Aspyr, development shifted to Saber Interactive and is now reportedly being spearheaded by Mad Head Games as of December 2025. A remake of the sequel was also reportedly in development as of March 2025. While official details are scarce, Saber Interactive's chief business officer has indicated it could be part of the company's 2028 lineup, with some sources suggesting a re-reveal planned for later this year and a potential 25th-anniversary release in 2028. Platforms confirmed for the remake include PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. Darth Revan in shadow, artwork from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake

Skydance New Media's Star Wars Game

Announced in April 2022, Skydance New Media is developing a "richly cinematic action-adventure game" with an original story set in the Star Wars universe. Led by Amy Hennig, known for her work on the Uncharted series, the project's specifics remain undisclosed. While it was speculated to be a revival of a canceled EA project, this has not been confirmed. Skydance New Media is currently prioritizing the release of its Marvel title, Marvel 1943: The Rise of Hydra, before shifting full focus to its Star Wars project. No release window or platforms have been announced.
