Amazon has announced that its second major Prime shopping event of 2026, Prime Big Deal Days, will take place on October 6-7. This two-day sale offers Prime members another opportunity to find discounts on a wide range of products, including games, technology, and Amazon devices, before the Black Friday sales in November.
This year's event returns to a 48-hour format, a change from the four-day sale held in June. Deals will officially commence at the beginning of October, though Amazon has yet to release the full list of participating items. The event is positioned as one of the last significant chances to secure holiday shopping bargains before Black Friday, which occurs just over a month later.
Amazon's own hardware, such as Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, Fire TV devices, and Echo speakers, often sees substantial price reductions during Prime Big Deal Days. Third-party brands also participate, and some early deals are already available in the lead-up to the main event. The sale is particularly relevant for gamers, offering potential savings on accessories, storage solutions, games, PC hardware, and televisions.
Amazon notes that not all advertised discounts represent genuine bargains, and it plans to track historical pricing to identify true deals. Early offers have already been observed on items like amiibo, Pokémon Trading Card Game products, 4K Blu-rays, and comics.
