The latest Kindle devices are now available for purchase or preorder. This generation of e-readers introduces a thinner, lighter design and aluminum hardware options. Amazon highlights significant performance improvements, with the new standard Kindle reportedly being 30% faster when opening books. A key upgrade across the entire lineup is the addition of edge-to-edge color displays.
To enhance the reading experience, Amazon is releasing the "Kindle Click," a $34.99 Bluetooth remote designed for page turning. This accessory is compatible with Kindle models released in 2024 and later and is scheduled to launch on October 28. New Kindle covers with integrated physical page-turning buttons are also being introduced, aiming to blend physical interaction with the digital format.
These new devices and accessories come as Amazon continues to phase out support for older Kindle models, making an upgrade to a newer version a consideration for many users.
