Analogue has announced the return of its popular Super Nt and Mega Sg consoles, now updated as the Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+. These systems utilize FPGA technology to offer high-definition playback of original Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis game cartridges, respectively. The refreshed consoles introduce several new features, including Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless controller support, USB-C power, and the ability to swap cartridges without powering down the system.
The Super Nt+ is designed to play over 2,200 Super Famicom and SNES cartridges, along with their original controllers. Similarly, the Mega Sg+ supports more than 2,180 cartridges from the Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, Mycard Adapter, and SG1000. It also retains compatibility with original wired controllers and the Sega CD.
Analogue is including two cartridge cleaners with each system, with additional units available for purchase. The Super Nt+ and Mega Sg+ are priced at $219.99 each. Pre-orders commence on Monday, October 19th, at 11 a.m. ET, with shipping expected to begin in December. Controllers are sold separately, with 8BitDo wireless controllers available from Analogue for an additional $29.99.
