Andrew Garfield has revealed that he has yet to congratulate Tom Holland on the immense success of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," and further admitted that he has not yet seen the film.

When questioned by Variety about whether he had reached out to Holland following "Brand New Day's" remarkable $2.3 billion box office performance, Garfield indicated that he had not. He explained his decision by stating he did not wish for his praise to be disingenuous. "I don't want to be disingenuous," Garfield stated. "A movie making money and people going to see it is an incredible thing, but I will reach out to him once I've seen the movie, which I'm very excited to see. And his other film, The Odyssey, I haven't managed to see either yet. I will send him a message when I see the work he has done."

Tom Holland is currently experiencing a highly successful period in his career, with "Brand New Day" setting franchise records and becoming the year's highest-grossing film. This follows his role in Christopher Nolan's critically acclaimed "The Odyssey," which has also surpassed the $1.5 billion box office mark.

Garfield is preparing for his own upcoming film, "The Uprising," which is centered on the 1381 Peasants' Revolt in England. Interestingly, the film also features Tom Hollander. There has been some marketing confusion surrounding the film, with U.S. and U.K. distributors appearing to have differing approaches regarding whether it is a Robin Hood origin story.

During the same interview, Garfield addressed rumors about a potential appearance in "Avengers: Doomsday." Responding to speculation about joining other Marvel actors, he firmly stated, "No, no, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not." He concluded by suggesting that viewers would discover the answer one way or another.
