Embark Studios, the developer behind the upcoming free-to-play shooter Arc Raiders, has announced an unexpected collaboration with fast-food chain Subway. This partnership offers players a chance to earn unique in-game items, including a special skin, through a limited-time promotion.

From now until October 26, customers who purchase a qualifying meal at Subway will receive a code redeemable on Embark's website. This code grants access to the "Subterranean" outfit, characterized by yellow and green accents that echo Subway's branding. In addition to the main outfit, players will also receive two rotating in-game items weekly.

The promotion provides three distinct reward options for Subway patrons. Option one includes the "Subterranean" and "Astrolite" outfits, alongside "Renegade II" and two "Medium Shield X2" items. The second option features the "Subterranean" and "Nascosto" outfits, paired with "Canto II" and "Tactical Mk. 2." Finally, the third option offers the "Subterranean" and "Rawhide" outfits, along with "Osprey II" and a "Surge Shield Recharger x2."

This crossover arrives as Arc Raiders prepares for its major expansion, "Frozen Trail," scheduled for release on October 8. Embark Studios is also adjusting its update strategy, aiming to deliver larger content drops approximately every six months. Previously, the studio had expressed reservations about collaborations, citing the game's lore as being too specific for widespread cosmetic tie-ins, a sentiment that contrasts with the current Subway partnership.
