Popular Twitch streamer Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt has faced a temporary suspension from the platform due to a violation of Twitch’s community guidelines. This action follows a recent livestream in which Hoyt made controversial statements regarding immigration and the use of lethal force against children attempting to cross borders.

During the stream, Hoyt appeared to respond to a comment in his chat, quoting, “‘Shoot’em, problem solved?’ Following this, he stated, “That’s what I would do. I think they should just f*cking shoot’em.” He elaborated further, suggesting that shooting an eight-year-old would be preferable to allowing 50 people to enter a country and potentially harm one’s own children. Hoyt’s remarks continued, with him repeatedly stating, “I’d shoot whoever” to deter immigration, including women and children.

Twitch has not specified which particular part of Hoyt’s recent streams led to the suspension. This is not the first time the streamer has faced disciplinary action from the platform. In April of this year, Hoyt received a week-long ban for comments he described as being about “illiterate third worlders.” In 2024, he was also suspended for remarks concerning the genocide of Palestinians.

At the time of his 2024 suspension, Hoyt had described himself as “slowly been devolving into the most mean-spirited—I don’t really even know what the words is for it—just the most mean-spirited, rude, callous, psychopathic version of myself.” He has continued to engage in rhetoric that has drawn criticism, with white nationalist Nick Fuentes previously referring to Hoyt as a “great ally.”
