Assassin's Creed Becomes a Board Game with New Animus Release

Ubisoft has launched Assassin's Creed: Animus, a new adventure-style board game for one to four players. This tabletop adaptation allows participants to journey through various eras featured in the video game series, facing off against assassination targets.

The standard edition of Assassin's Creed: Animus includes four playable protagonists: Eivor, Ezio, Altair, and Connor. Players work individually or cooperatively to complete objectives across different historical settings, employing strategic approaches to eliminate targets via "memory blocks." The game offers flexibility in player choice, allowing for direct confrontation or stealthier methods.

For enthusiasts seeking a more extensive experience, a Collector's Edition is also available. This premium version expands the game to include 10 eras and 16 protagonists, featuring characters such as Edward Kenway, Jacob and Evie Frye, and Kassandra. In addition to the expanded roster and settings, the Collector's Edition comes with a storage box, acrylic tokens, a metal Piece of Eden, a cloth token bag, "special event cards," and an Animus Card Holder.

The standard version of Assassin's Creed: Animus is priced at $65, with the limited Collector's Edition retailing for $229. Both are available for order now.
