Ubisoft has addressed a long-standing player request in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, introducing an option to hide the blowpipe from protagonist Edward Kenway's back. This change, part of Title Update 1.0.6, allows players to further customize Edward's appearance, a feature many have apparently desired.
Players can now choose to conceal the blowpipe via the outfit options in the inventory. Selecting 'Hide Gear' will remove it from view, while opting out of this setting will keep it visible. According to Ubisoft, this feedback was directly incorporated into the latest update.
Patch 1.0.6 Details
The update, which ranges from 1.8 to 3.7 GB in size depending on the PC storefront, brings a wealth of other improvements and fixes. The number of autosaves has been doubled, from five to ten, providing players with more progression checkpoints. The patch also rectifies an issue on PC that could cause cutscenes to be locked at 30 FPS when custom graphics settings were applied from low presets. Additionally, a missing tutorial for the 'Throw Money' mechanic has been added, and issues with DLC Pack notifications appearing at the start of a new game have been resolved.
Numerous gameplay elements have been refined. Edward's ability to toggle his hood during a Leap of Faith has been restored. Fixes have been implemented for various combat scenarios, including issues with leg sweeps, brute elites, and assassinations. Naval combat has also seen adjustments, with corrections made to ship ramming damage and enemy AI reactions.
World and environmental interactions have been improved, with solutions for players getting stuck during parkour attempts or experiencing free fall bugs. Progression and economy systems were also touched up, including a correction to the incorrect pricing of the Kraken wheel. The user interface has received attention, with updated fonts for better readability in Simplified Chinese and fixes for alignment issues in Arabic. Visual and graphical glitches have been addressed, including animation problems, camera issues during assassinations, and lighting discrepancies underwater.
Several quest-specific issues have been resolved, ensuring smoother progression through the game's narrative. These fixes range from ensuring NPC behavior remains consistent after cutscene skips to preventing players from becoming stuck in combat or losing save files under specific circumstances. Localization and audio issues have also been a focus, with corrected text and improved dialogue audibility in certain languages, alongside the restoration of various missing sound effects.
