The Assassin's Creed franchise, slated to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027, is set to grow with at least three new main series entries and a variety of other projects. Following the recent release of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft has provided updates on future endeavors including Codename Hexe, Assassin's Creed Jade, and Assassin's Creed Invictus, alongside other planned media.

Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe is described as a "unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin’s Creed experience, set during a pivotal moment in history." While officially announced in 2022, details remain scarce. Current information suggests a setting in 16th-century Europe, potentially focusing on witch hunts. Reports have indicated possible changes to its development, with some leaks suggesting the removal of magical abilities, though these should be approached with caution.

Assassin's Creed Jade is being developed for mobile platforms, Android and iOS, and aims to bring a console-like experience to smartphones. Revealed in 2022 and showcased at Gamescom 2023, the game features the series' signature parkour and stealth combat within the setting of Qin Dynasty China in 215 BC. Players will be able to customize their assassin and explore environments like the Great Wall.

In contrast to Hexe and Jade, Assassin's Creed Invictus has not yet been officially shown. It is being developed by a team at Ubisoft Montreal with experience from For Honor and is planned as a player-versus-player multiplayer experience. While rumors have described it with terms like "Fall Guys version of Assassin's Creed," franchise head of content Jean Guesdon has stated that Invictus "isn’t quite what the rumors have suggested."

Beyond these three titles, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has indicated that more remakes are a possibility. Following the successful modernization of Black Flag, he suggested that "worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich," hinting at potential remakes of past entries. No specific remake projects have been formally announced.

The franchise is also expanding into other media. Heredis, an original live stage production blending acrobatics, parkour, and theatre, is scheduled to premiere in Montreal in December 2026 before moving to Paris in 2027. This production will follow a character named Naël on a historical journey.

Additionally, a live-action Assassin's Creed series is in development with Netflix, with filming commencing in spring 2026. Contrary to initial speculation that it might adapt the Ezio storyline, the series will tell an original story set in Ancient Rome. The cast includes Toby Wallace, Lola Petticrew, and Noomi Rapace, among others.
