Astronaut Pikachu is now available in Pokémon Go as part of the World Space Week 2026 in-game event. Players have until Saturday, October 10th, at 11:59 p.m. local time to complete the event's Timed Research quest and claim its rewards.
World Space Week 2026 Research Tasks
The event features a single-step Timed Research quest that requires players to win raids. Upon completion of the tasks, players will receive experience points, Stardust, and an encounter with Astronaut Pikachu. The specific tasks and rewards are as follows:
- Win a raid: 2500 XP
- Win 2 raids: 2500 Stardust
- Win 3 raids: 2500 XP
- Win 4 raids: 2500 Stardust
- Win 5 raids: 2500 XP
Completing all five tasks awards players with 2500 XP, 2500 Stardust, and an encounter with Astronaut Pikachu. It is important for players to claim all unclaimed rewards before the event concludes, as they will disappear.
How to Obtain Astronaut Pikachu
Besides completing the Timed Research, players can also encounter Astronaut Pikachu through one-star raids. The event is an opportunity for players to collect costume Pokémon or hunt for a shiny variant of the character.
