Baggy Cat Games has confirmed that a sequel to their viral FMV horror game At Dead Of Night, titled At Dead of Night 2: The Great Hugo, is coming soon. The new game will continue Maya's story five years after the events of the original.
At Dead Of Night gained significant popularity during the pandemic, partly due to its reception by streamers and content creators. The game featured Jimmy Hall, a hotel landlord with a psychopathic alter ego named Hugo Punch. The sequel sees Maya still grappling with her experiences at the Sea View Hotel and seeking answers. She discovers a ghost box similar to the one used in the first game, prompting her to investigate its origins at a Tudor manor house.
Despite a warning from an old friend and counselor, Quinn, Maya proceeds with her investigation. The developer has not provided a specific release date for "The Great Hugo," but has indicated it will be available "(very) soon."
