Attack on Titan 3 Game Arrives December 9

The beloved post-apocalyptic dark fantasy series Attack on Titan is set to return with a new video game adaptation. Attack on Titan 3, developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo, is scheduled for release on December 9, 2026. This marks the first new Attack on Titan game in over eight years.

Attack on Titan 3 will adapt the entirety of the manga's narrative, including its conclusion. Players will assume the role of a customizable original character rather than following the journeys of Eren, Armin, or Mikasa. The game promises brand-new story developments alongside intense battles against the Nine Titans, many of which will be making their debut in the series' games. Familiar scenes from previous titles have also been redeveloped to offer a fresh experience.

The game's official release date is December 10, though PC players on Steam will have access one day earlier. Pre-orders for a physical SteelBook edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition were made available in August. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes cosmetic DLC, a digital art book, and 72 hours of early access across all platforms except the Nintendo Switch 2. Players who have save data from Attack on Titan 2 on their systems will also receive an in-game bonus.

Attack on Titan 3 is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. It faces competition in December from other Japanese-developed titles such as Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. This release is expected to be among the last major games launching in a busy fall 2026 for the industry.
