Marvel Studios has unveiled new concept art for the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday, providing fans with an early look at over 20 returning heroes. The artwork features prominently a fully suited-up Cyclops, portrayed by James Marsden, Mister Fantastic played by Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Doctor Doom.
This sneak peek was initially shown by Marvel Cinematic Universe mastermind Kevin Feige at the Bilibili World 2026 event in Shanghai. Audience members quickly shared images on social media, and an official version was later posted by Andy Park, who previously served as director of visual development.
The concept art depicts various factions within the film. On the left, members of the Thunderbolts and New Avengers like Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), the Red Guardian (David Harbour), and U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell) are visible. Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) also makes an appearance, alongside a short-haired Thor (Chris Hemsworth). The X-Men are represented in the bottom corner with Cyclops, Beast (Kelsey Grammer), Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming), and Gambit (Channing Tatum).
The right side of the image highlights the cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, as well as Black Panther (Letitia Wright) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu). The central focus of the artwork is the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, with the concept art offering a clear view of his distinctive metal mask. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is also subtly included, maintaining his pose from the conclusion of Loki Season 2.
While a full trailer has yet to be released, this concept art offers a significant update for MCU fans as the film's release approaches. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2026. Prior to this, audiences can expect Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to release on July 31, 2026.
