Avengers: Doomsday Poster Features Doctor Doom and Mysterious Latverian Witches

Marvel Studios has released a new poster for its upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, providing a detailed look at Doctor Doom and the three Latverian witches accompanying him. The image was shared on social media during San Diego Comic-Con Málaga in Spain, an event attended by cast members such as Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, and David Harbor.

Doctor Doom is prominently featured in the poster, appearing as menacing as ever. However, the primary focus is on the three Latverian witches positioned behind him. These characters, with their distinctive purple, red, and green robes, have been a subject of speculation among MCU fans. They were previously seen at San Diego Comic-Con in California.

While some viewers may perceive these witches as mere henchmen, fan theories suggest their identities may be more significant. Prominent speculation posits that the witch in red could be Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, and the one in green might be Sylvie, portrayed by Sophia Di Martino. The identity of the witch in purple robes is more divisive, with theories ranging from Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness to Charlize Theron's Clea.

Despite these theories, it remains possible that the witches are simply Doom drones. However, recent developments within the MCU have led some to believe that Avengers: Doomsday may feature surprise cameos upon its theatrical release.

Anthony Mackie also teased aspects of the film during his Comic-Con appearance, highlighting the pervasive theme of "doom" throughout the movie. He described the film as "non-stop pandemonium" and praised the directors, the Russo brothers, for their ability to give each character a memorable moment, drawing parallels to Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere on December 18, 2026.
