Marvel Studios has unveiled an official LEGO remake of the trailer for its upcoming film, "Avengers: Doomsday." This brick-built version is a meticulous shot-for-shot and beat-for-beat recreation of the live-action trailer released in July, now rendered entirely in LEGO animation.
The project is part of Disney Consumer Products, Marvel Studios, and LEGO's "All Moments Lead to Doomsday" campaign. Notably, the trailer features the voices of the original cast, including Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. A side-by-side comparison embedded with the original trailer highlights the faithful recreation.
Paul Gitter, Executive Vice President of Global Brand Commercialization for Disney Consumer Products, stated that the LEGO trailer "is a nod to the creativity of the Marvel fandom and builds excitement for Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday theatrical release." He added that the collaboration "extend[s] our stories beyond the screen in ways that are unique to only Disney."
The original "Avengers: Doomsday" trailer has already amassed over 67 million views on Marvel's YouTube channel. The film is slated for a December 18 release and is expected to be a significant event, with various details about the Russo Brothers-directed movie beginning to surface. These include actor David Harbour hinting at a major spoiler, Sebastian Stan admitting limited knowledge of the plot, fan theories about multiple Doctor Dooms, and the considerable fines Marvel incurred for its San Diego Comic-Con advertising.
Prior to "Avengers: Doomsday," fans will also have the opportunity to see a theatrical re-release of "Avengers: Endgame," which will include four minutes of new footage, making it the longest MCU movie to date.
