Maggie Robertson, the actor behind the formidable Orin the Red in Baldur's Gate 3, is set to lend her voice to another prominent Dungeons & Dragons character. Robertson will portray the witch Tasha, a patron who grants powers to the player in the upcoming third-person action-adventure game, Warlock. The announcement was made during Wizards of the Coast's D&D keynote at Gen Con.

Tasha, a character known for spells like Tasha's Hideous Laughter, is an archfey with her own domain in the game's lore, enabling her to bestow eldritch powers upon the player.

Warlock is being developed by Invoke, one of Wizards of the Coast's internal studios. While details remain scarce, the game is described as a third-person action-adventure, seemingly aiming for a tone and style similar to God of War. The game's protagonist will be voiced by Tricia Helfer, known for her roles as EDI in the Mass Effect series and Sarah Kerrigan in StarCraft 2.

The first gameplay footage for Warlock is scheduled to be revealed at Gamescom, which runs from August 26 to August 30 in Cologne.
