Battlefield 6 has introduced a new microtransaction, the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, priced at $30. This kit offers immediate access to all in-game weapons across all four classes, with each weapon unlocked at 100% Mastery, meaning they are fully leveled and equipped with all attachments.
This new offering comes shortly after the game launched its Season 5 update and a Game of the Year Edition, and also became available on Xbox Game Pass. The Ultimate Shortcut Kit functions similarly to previous iterations in the Battlefield series. Players who purchase it will receive all available guns and their associated upgrades without the need for in-game progression.
Reactions to the Ultimate Shortcut Kit have been mixed. Some players have voiced concerns online, arguing that it is unfair to allow players to bypass the grind required to unlock weapons. Others have welcomed the kit, citing a lack of time or interest in spending extensive hours leveling up weapons and a desire to experience all the game's content immediately.
In addition to the weapons, the Ultimate Shortcut Kit includes the exclusive "Mortal Shriek" dog tag and the "Field Training: Cross Trained" title. Comparable shortcut kits for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 were priced higher at $40 and $50, respectively.
Battlefield 6 was reportedly the best-selling game in the US in 2025, with sales exceeding 20 million units within approximately three months. Despite this commercial success, EA reportedly reduced staff at the development studio following the game's launch.
The Ultimate Shortcut Kit includes the following for each class:
Assault Shortcut Kit: 7 Weapons (100% Mastery), 2 Vehicles (100% Mastery), Frontliner Training Path, 4 Gadgets Support Shortcut Kit: 7 Weapons (100% Mastery), 2 Vehicles (100% Mastery), Fire Support Training Path, 4 Gadgets Engineer Shortcut Kit: 7 Weapons (100% Mastery), 2 Vehicles (100% Mastery), Combat Engineer Training Path, 7 Gadgets Recon Shortcut Kit: 7 Weapons (100% Mastery), 2 Vehicles (100% Mastery), Spec Ops Training Path, 4 Gadgets
