Battlefield 6 Adds Dead Space-Themed Event and New Maps for Season 5

Battlefield 6 is set to receive a Dead Space-themed event in time for Halloween, referred to by EA and Dice as a "non-canon" event. This crossover will see Necromorphs appear in an Area 51 map, incorporating assets from the Dead Space remake. The event begins on October 20 and will run until November 7, offering players the chance to unlock exclusive cosmetic items.

The game's developers have highlighted the ongoing success of Battlefield 6 over its first year, referencing past collaborations like the Top Gun event and the introduction of Naval Warfare. Season 5 is described as the largest yet, concluding 2026 with three new maps set in and around Las Vegas. Additionally, the season will introduce Platoons and a Server Browser, features highly requested by the community.

Players will engage in combat across the Las Vegas Strip, with the Area 51 map also accessible in standard game modes. A new close-quarters map, European Casino, is scheduled to join the rotation on November 10. On December 8, Dice plans to introduce "an unexpected chill" to the Vegas setting, hinting at a snowy environment.

Season 5 also brings Rapid Royale, a faster-paced take on the battle royale mode set on the Vegas Strip. This mode features shorter rounds, fewer players, and a mechanic where kills generate in-game currency usable for respawns. The new season officially kicks off on October 13.
