Battlefield 6 has been added to Xbox Game Pass, a significant move for the 2025 best-seller as it seeks to reignite its player base. Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on both PC and console can now access the game, with streaming also available. This launch coincides with the release of the game's Season 5 update, which introduces new maps, including locales set in Las Vegas and Area 51, and a long-requested server browser.
Developer Battlefield Studios is deploying these updates to bolster engagement following a strong initial release that saw player numbers decline over time. The Season 5 content is detailed in a new gameplay trailer.
In addition to the new season, Battlefield Studios has also launched a Game of the Year Edition for Battlefield 6. A key feature of this edition is the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, a purchaseable add-on that instantly unlocks all weapons and equipment for all four classes, alongside other bonuses like one season of Battlefield Pro. This kit, previously available in other Battlefield titles, can also be bought separately for $30.
