Battlefield 6 Players Slammed New Season Pass Cosmetics As 'Peak Disrespect'

Battlefield 6's latest season, "Siege of Vegas," has arrived with a mixed reception. While the new Area 51 map is receiving praise, a set of season pass cosmetics has ignited player criticism, with many suspecting the use of AI generation.

Players have taken to Reddit to voice their concerns over several cosmetic items, including a character model featuring five pistols and another with a misspelled security patch. One user questioned the design choice of a character with multiple holstered pistols, asking, "Why tf does this dude have FIVE pistols on him?" Another commented on the nonsensical magazine design and the misspelled "Secuty" patch, suggesting it looks "AI-generated" and that "no human artist would have shipped that by accident."

These critiques have gained significant traction, with multiple posts on the subreddit accumulating thousands of upvotes and comments. The fact that these controversial designs are part of a paid season pass has further fueled player frustration, with one thread stating, "Charging players $$$ for AI generated content is peak disrespect."

Although there has been no official confirmation from the developers regarding the use of AI in creating these cosmetics, this is not the first time Battlefield 6 has faced allegations of sloppy asset creation. The game previously shipped with seemingly AI-generated cosmetics shortly after launch, which were only patched out months later. This follows a period where some Battlefield developers were laid off, even as EA executives reportedly earned millions from a leveraged sale to Saudi Arabia.

The inclusion of items like the "five-guns-guy" and the misspelled patch has led to speculation that overworked developers with a reduced headcount and an aggressive content roadmap might be contributing to such design oversights.
