Battlefield 6 is set to introduce a comprehensive server browser in its upcoming Season 5 update this December, a feature fans have requested since the game's launch. This addition aims to restore the granular control over game sessions that was a hallmark of earlier titles in the series.
The Season 5 update will roll out in stages. The initial phase, "Siege of Las Vegas," begins October 13 and introduces two new maps: Vegas Strip and Area 51. For Battlefield 6's battle royale mode, RedSeven, this phase also adds "Rapid Royale," a faster-paced variant with reduced player counts. Following this, a Halloween event will run from October 20 to November 7, featuring a non-canon scenario centered around "secret tech" discovered beneath Area 51, with nods to aliens and the Dead Space series. This event will include environments inspired by the 2023 Dead Space remake and offer unlockable Dead Space-themed cosmetics.
Phase 2, dubbed "Casino Heist," commences on November 10, bringing a new map called European Casino. The final phase, "Frozen Aces," is scheduled for December 8. This phase will introduce cold weather conditions to the existing Las Vegas maps and a new operation spanning the Vegas Strip and Area 51. Crucially, the long-awaited server browser will also become available with the arrival of "Frozen Aces" in Phase 3 of Season 5.
Battlefield 6 notably became the best-selling game in the US in 2025, surpassing even Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 in sales figures. The inclusion of a full server browser is expected to address player feedback regarding customization and choice in multiplayer matchmaking.
