Ben Affleck Calls Fortnite "Bullsh**" Over Expensive Skins, Finds Game Too Difficult

Actor Ben Affleck, a self-proclaimed gamer, has shared his strong opinions on Epic Games' popular title Fortnite, describing it as surprisingly difficult and its in-game cosmetic items as exorbitantly priced.

Appearing on the New Heights podcast with brothers Jason and Travis Kelce, Affleck detailed his experience trying Fortnite. As a fan of first-person shooter games, he expected to perform well but found himself "wiped out immediately." Adding to his frustration, Affleck recounted being mocked by 12-year-old opponents after his swift defeat, prompting him to exclaim, "I don't suck! I'm a grown man!"

Affleck also shared an anecdote about his son's Christmas wish list, which included specific Fortnite skins. He was taken aback to discover that these virtual items could cost hundreds of dollars. "They ain't even real? Just to wear in the game? That's bullsh**," Affleck stated.

While Fortnite proved a challenge, Affleck expressed his admiration for the competitive shooter Valorant. His past on-screen gaming experience includes his character playing Battlefield 3 in the film Gone Girl. Affleck's comments come as some critics, like GameSpot's Phil Owen, have also voiced dissatisfaction with the current season of Fortnite.
