Bill Skarsgård, who is set to star in Hideo Kojima's upcoming action-espionage project Physint, revealed his excitement and admiration for the game and its creator during a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Skarsgård stated that starring in Physint is a "big deal" for him, citing his long-standing appreciation for Kojima's Metal Gear Solid series. He mentioned playing every installment of the games and being captivated by the universes Kojima creates. The actor also reflected on Kojima's unique position as a "video game auteur" who is fluent in filmmaking, suggesting that Kojima's interactive projects are effectively inventing a new medium that blurs the lines with cinema.

The actor confirmed that he is providing performance capture for the game, drawing on his previous experience with motion capture technology, including his work on Marvel's Eternals. This adds to the growing details about Physint, which was revealed to have moved from PlayStation to Xbox publishing after facing potential cancellation.

Sources indicated that PlayStation dropped the project due to missed deadlines and budget concerns. Despite this, Kojima has stated his intention for Physint to evoke the spirit of the Metal Gear Solid games while offering a new interactive spy action experience. The game's cast, also including Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe, was revealed in September.
