Hideo Kojima has revealed that Bill Skarsgård, known for his roles in It and Nosferatu, will star as the lead in the upcoming Xbox exclusive Physint. This announcement follows Kojima's recent confirmation that the game, previously in development with PlayStation, has found a new home with Xbox.
Kojima shared the update in a joint YouTube video from Xbox and Kojima Productions, stating that Physint is making "steady progress." He described the game as "the culmination of more than 40 years of my career: a project that will redefine 'action-espionage,' unbound by any existing genres in digital entertainment." Skarsgård, who Kojima noted is a long-time fan of his work, will join a cast that includes Charlee Fraser, Minami Hamabe, and Don Lee. Kojima teased that further casting announcements are forthcoming.
Alongside updates on Physint, Kojima also provided an update on his horror game, OD. The game's full title has been revealed as OD: Knock, and its development is proceeding smoothly. Performance capture and ADR recording have resumed this year after being paused due to the SAG-Aftra strike. OD features a cast including Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier, with horror director Jordan Peele co-writing the game alongside Kojima. An official release date for OD has not yet been announced.
