Bill Skarsgård Expresses Enthusiasm for Hideo Kojima's Upcoming Game, Physint

Actor Bill Skarsgård has shared a video expressing his significant enthusiasm for Hideo Kojima's upcoming espionage thriller, Physint. The game, which recently transitioned from Sony to Xbox, is described as a successor to the Metal Gear Solid series.

Skarsgård, widely recognized for his portrayal of Pennywise in the recent adaptations of Stephen King's It, confirmed his lead role in Physint during an Xbox showcase at Tokyo Game Show 2026. While details about the game's narrative and gameplay remain scarce, Skarsgård conveyed his trust in Kojima's creative vision.

"I am a huge fan of Hideo's and I have been ever since I was a child, so I’m very excited to embark on this creative journey together with him," Skarsgård stated in the video, which was shared online on September 18. He further lauded Kojima as "a true pioneer and an auteur in the video game field, and someone who really blends cinema and video game."

Skarsgård's connection to the Metal Gear franchise may stem from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, as he was born in the same year Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was released. He was first seen at Kojima's game studio over a year prior to this announcement.

Physint also features actors Charlee Fraser, Ma Dong-seok, and Minami Hamabe. The game's tagline is "The Next Cold War Begins."
