During a recent Breaking Benjamin concert in Holmdel, New Jersey, frontman Benjamin Burnley took an extended break from performing to address the audience about a dispute within the Fallout 4 modding community. Burnley spent over four minutes urging fans to download his mod, titled 'True First Person,' in an effort to counter negative feedback from another modder.

Burnley stated that the other modder had been critical of his work, saying, "your mod is shit. You don't know what you're fucking doing." He declared his intention to increase his mod's download numbers in response. "So I'm doing this every fucking night, and blowing his fucking downloads out of the water," Burnley told the crowd. Venue staff even displayed the mod's details on screen during his appeal.

He encouraged attendees to download the mod from Nexus Mods, even if they did not play the game. "When you post a mod, you're supposed to be able to grow and learn and make it better," Burnley said, referencing the conflict. "And right off the bat, this fucking asshole was shitting on my mod."

The 'True First Person' mod, last updated on Sunday, aims to enhance the game's perspective. According to its description on Nexus Mods, the mod replaces Fallout 4's default first-person view, which only shows floating arms, with a full-body rendering of the player character. This includes visible legs, clothing, and equipped gear, and maintains the first-person perspective during interactions like using workstations or power armor.

The mod is noted as being "AI assisted." While the comments section on the mod's page are currently filled with reactions to the concert, some users have expressed support, with one noting, "Brother I'm at your concert right now. You have my download." Burnley, whose Nexus Mods username is killemloud, acknowledged this support after the show.

Breaking Benjamin, formed in 1999, has a prior connection to the gaming world, having contributed the song "Blow Me Away" to the Halo 2 soundtrack.
