Benjamin Burnley, frontman for the rock band Breaking Benjamin, has used his live concerts to promote a first-person mod he created for Fallout 4, reportedly due to friction within the modding community. During a recent performance in Holmdel, New Jersey, Burnley dedicated a portion of the show to discussing and encouraging the download of his mod, "True First Person."

Burnley explained that the mod, an F4SE plugin, allows players to remain in first-person perspective even when interacting with in-game workshops. He revealed that a dispute with another modder, who he claims was "mean" and "bullying" him, motivated his public promotion. Burnley stated his intention to announce the mod at every concert until it reaches one million downloads, aiming to surpass the downloads of the individual he feels has wronged him. A video of this mid-gig announcement was shared on Reddit. The band's crew even displayed the mod's name on the large screen during the segment.

The mod is tagged as "AI-assisted" on Nexus Mods, indicating some level of AI involvement in its creation, such as texture or audio upscaling. As of the report, "True First Person" had accumulated just over 2,300 unique downloads since its release on September 1st. To install the mod, users require a current version of Fallout 4, along with the corresponding script extender and Address Library for F4SE Plugins.
