Brendan Fraser's 1999 action-adventure hit, The Mummy, is experiencing a resurgence in popularity, climbing the Netflix Top 10 charts. This renewed interest coincides with the recent release of major set photos from the upcoming The Mummy 4, which is slated for a 2027 release.
Released over 25 years ago, The Mummy follows adventurer Rick O’Connell, portrayed by Fraser, as he teams up with librarian Evelyn Carnahan (Rachel Weisz) and her brother Jonathan (John Hannah) in an expedition to the ancient Egyptian city of Hamunaptra. Their exploration inadvertently awakens Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo), an ancient high priest cursed to an undead existence.
