Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer component will be playable for the first time at this weekend's Fanatics Fest in New York City. The event, taking place from July 16 to July 19 at the Javits Center, will also feature a panel discussion with key figures from Infinity Ward and Activision.

Studio head Mark Grigsby and Activision marketing executive Tyler Bahl are scheduled to participate in a conversation about Modern Warfare 4, where further details about the game may be disclosed. Joining them on the panel will be actor Inde Navarrette, star of the recent horror film "Obsession," and NBA superstar Kevin Durant, who has previously appeared in Call of Duty as a purchasable skin. The discussion will be moderated by media personality Katie Nolan.

"Obsession," a film reportedly made on a budget of $750,000, has achieved significant box office success, grossing over $426 million worldwide. Navarrette has shared her interest in gaming, noting her use of Henry Cavill videos to assist in building a gaming PC.

Fanatics Fest attendees will have the opportunity to experience Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer ahead of its official launch. Tickets for the event start at $81.54 for a single-day pass. For those unable to attend Fanatics Fest, a free open beta for Modern Warfare 4 will be available prior to the game's release. Preordering the game will grant early access to this beta.

Modern Warfare 4 is slated for release on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2.
