Actor Barry Sloane, best known for his portrayal of Captain Price in the Call of Duty franchise, has made an unexpected appearance in the latest season of HBO's House of the Dragon. Sloane debuted as Ser Adrian Redfort in the July 11 episode of Season 3, a role that took many viewers by surprise. The resemblance, particularly a shared mustache between his character in the Game of Thrones prequel and the iconic Call of Duty operator, did not go unnoticed.
The official Call of Duty social media account humorously acknowledged the crossover, stating, "The mustache transcends timelines." Sloane was cast in the House of the Dragon role in April 2025.
Sloane is set to reprise his role as Captain Price in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, scheduled for release this October. This iteration of the character will embark on a different narrative path, having gone rogue following the events of Modern Warfare 3 in 2023. The game's description hints at a quest for revenge and a powerful weapon that could alter the global balance of power, forcing Price into "uneasy alliances and illicit operations."
Captain Price was originally voiced and motion-captured by Billy Murray, who first brought the character to life in the 2007 title Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
