Modern Warfare 3's integration with Call of Duty: Warzone has introduced Season 1, bringing with it new maps, modes, and mechanics. Among these is a new training mode called Rally Point, which notably allows players to purchase the game-ending Tactical Nuke killstreak, a feature typically reserved for multiplayer. This is the first time a nuke has been purchasable within Warzone.

Rally Point takes place on the new Zodiac Resurgence map and is framed as a casual game mode designed to accommodate up to 20 players and bots. The mode lacks a time limit and circle collapse, allowing players to explore the map at their own pace with unlimited respawns. Activision describes Rally Point as a "training ground experience" intended for players to experiment with Warzone's mechanics and systems, and to "provide unique elements to play around with." This suggests the mode is aimed at onboarding new players or helping returning players familiarize themselves with updated movement and mechanics.

However, the inclusion of the Tactical Nuke killstreak, available for purchase at Buy Stations for $1 million, seems counterintuitive for a training environment. While the hefty price tag makes it difficult to acquire, it is still achievable, especially given that matches can continue indefinitely. Reports indicate that skilled players are already entering these lobbies specifically to hunt for nukes, disrupting the intended learning experience for newer or returning players.

Rally Point does not have a level cap, meaning any player can access this new training ground. Players and observers alike hope that developers will adjust or remove the nuke option to facilitate a more peaceful exploration experience. Season 1 also brings other content to Warzone, including the Hajin map for standard battle royale, new maps and modes for multiplayer, and a new X01 map along with fresh DMZ Orders for the DMZ mode.
