PC Gamer has released a new quiz designed to test players' familiarity with games featuring pixel art graphics. The challenge presents 15 screenshots, many of which are significantly distorted, blurred, or cropped to obscure their original appearance. The aim is for participants to identify the game titles within a six-minute time limit.

This is the second iteration of the pixel art identification quiz from PC Gamer, with the publication noting that the difficulty has been increased from its predecessor. The selection of games is not limited by genre, with the only criterion being the presence of notable sprites or detailed pixel art environments. This approach means that a wide variety of games may be featured, regardless of the editor's personal preference for their respective genres.

PC Gamer frequently publishes similar trivia challenges covering various aspects of gaming, including in-game elements like health bars, currencies, and patch notes. Players who complete the quiz are encouraged to share their scores and discuss which titles proved most challenging.
