Capcom has indicated that a sequel to its science fiction adventure Pragmata is likely, following the game's successful launch. Yoshikazu Shimauchi, a corporate officer at Capcom, stated that the chances of a follow-up title are high, referencing the publisher's strong financial performance. Pragmata has achieved significant sales figures, shipping 2.51 million units worldwide within its initial three months. This performance bolsters previous positive indications from the company regarding a potential sequel.

Capcom USA's chief operating officer, Rob Dyer, previously commented on the potential for new intellectual property, noting that Pragmata's six-year development cycle was "worth the effort." While not an official confirmation, these statements suggest a strong interest in continuing the franchise.

This news comes as Capcom celebrates robust sales across its major franchises, including Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. The company's latest financial results exceeded expectations, with shares rising 19%. Resident Evil Village has sold 8 million copies, and the Resident Evil 4 Remake has reached 16 million units sold. The Resident Evil 2 remake has become the best-selling title in the series, surpassing Resident Evil 5 with 19.75 million copies sold.

Pragmata is a third-person shooter set in the near future, featuring protagonists Hugh and his android companion Diana navigating a lunar research station. The game incorporates a hacking mechanic into its combat and puzzle elements. IGN's review of Pragmata highlighted its "punchy shooting action and a creative hacking-puzzle gameplay mechanic," describing the sci-fi drama as sufficient to carry players through the experience.
