Capcom is bringing a taste of its Japanese retail experience to the United States with its first-ever U.S. pop-up shop, set to open in Los Angeles next week. Located at Little Akihabara in the Little Tokyo neighborhood, the store will offer exclusive merchandise from the company's beloved game franchises. The pop-up will operate for one month, from Saturday, September 19, to Sunday, October 18.
The Los Angeles shop is a temporary extension of Capcom's official retail store, which is situated in Tokyo's Shibuya PARCO department store. The merchandise selection includes plushies, charms, apparel, and other collectibles featuring series such as Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, and Mega Man.
Visitors attending the pop-up on its opening weekend, September 19 and 20, will have the opportunity to play early demos of Mega Man: Dual Override. Capcom has cautioned that participation in these demos will be highly limited during the initial days. Additionally, the first 50 guests on both September 19 and 20 will receive a special, limited-edition Tokyo Game Show handkerchief.
This pop-up coincides with the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, which will run from September 17 to September 21. In anticipation of the event, Capcom will host its "Capcom Spotlight TGS 2026" presentation on September 16 at 10 a.m. ET. This showcase is expected to provide updates on titles including Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance DLC, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Mega Man: Dual Override, Pragmata, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Street Fighter 6.
