Developers at Evil Empire have stated that Castlevania: Belmont's Curse was created without the use of generative AI tools. Both Evil Empire and partner Konami confirmed that no AI was utilized in the game's development.

During an interview in Paris, France, Konami producer Tsutomu Taniguchi indicated that while Konami has not used AI, they do not currently have a definitive stance on its future use. Emmanuel Nouaille, creative director at Evil Empire, elaborated on the studio's position, emphasizing the importance of genuine creation and the infusion of the team's "soul" into the game. He clarified that while he personally has no issue with AI, its use was deliberately excluded from this particular project.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC on October 15. Further details regarding the game, including hands-on impressions and exclusive artwork, are set to be featured in the upcoming issue of Game Informer, launching Tuesday, July 21.
