CD Projekt is reportedly developing a new multiplayer title set in The Witcher universe, described as a free-to-play co-op action-RPG for mobile and PC. This unannounced project is said to be distinct from the larger Project Sirius, which is slated for PC and consoles. Sources indicate this new game is set in the year 1230, a period when Geralt of Rivia was a younger witcher.
The gameplay is expected to feature monster contracts across various environments, with a skill-based combat system allowing players to customize their witcher's abilities by drawing from different Witcher Schools. Players will reportedly be able to create and personalize their own witchers, influencing their combat style through the mastery of Signs and potion brewing, according to the report. The title aims to incorporate elements from the main series' combat and progression mechanics.
While no specific developer has been named, CD Projekt's partnership with mobile developer Scopely last year, focused on creating a game within one of the studio's intellectual properties, aligns with the reported mobile and PC focus. CD Projekt had previously confirmed in 2024 that it was exploring licensing opportunities to bring The Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises to mobile devices. The company has been contacted for comment regarding the report.
